Extensions are small software programs that can modify and enhance the functionality of the Chrome browser. You can easily add them to your Google Chrome web browser to customize your experience. Chrome Extensions allow you to:
• Get timely notifications.
• Do things with fewer clicks.
• Shorten current website URL’s.
• Easily set timers.
• Capture screen shots to use images to enhance presentations.
• View definitions easily as you browse the web.
• Read selected text using text-to-speech.
• Get bonus information about a page.

Times have changed and the world has turned to technology for information. The technological gadgets are quickly replacing books and because of our reliance on these instruments, we need to find tools that will help us store all the information that we gather. When storing information there will come the need for retrieving and accessing this information in a timely manner. Chrome Extensions cater for that so that I can readily access information to transfer to my students.

Change can either be positive or negative, but I feel that Chrome Extensions is a positive change since it will become part of preparation and planning which are critical in the teaching profession.
